Joe's Flat Iron Cafe

We love this local café! The owner is kind and always working to improve the place. I take my 5&3 year old here to play games and it feels very safe and welcoming. Have yet to try any food, Chai latte is decent but not my favorite. It has become my husband's go-to for coffee, though.

A cool little coffee shop in what appears to be a tiny little town. Clean and reasonably priced. I got a dirt chai and a bacon egg and cheese sandwich.

you don’t want to miss this place… Joe will keep you on your toes with all the great menu options.. His espresso shots will have you soaring with the eagles.. oh and the tuna melt… will melt in your mouth leaving you asking how this magic happens.. the atmosphere is that of a relaxing night at home with no kids. don’t miss this great place!

On this rainy Saturday after visiting with Tina, decided to stop at Joe's Flat Iron Café here in downtown Skowhegan. Very relaxing place with great views & lots to offer. Had a medium Caramel Iced Coffee and Carrot Muffin. The Iced Coffee way better than Dunkin. The Carrot Muffin was full of flavor. Enjoyed very much and definitely recommend! On National Hot Dog Day, Joe celebrated by offering 2 hot dogs & chips for $6. That was an amazing deal and wicked good!

Was a very cute little place to sit down, relax and talk.I am actually from the city and was so surprised that I found such a great coffee shop. It was a great place to end my little getaway from the city. The staff was even better. I had asked for a specific type of sugar and a specific type of milk, and they did not have it. But they were very apologetic, and they seem to genuinely care for their customers, which made the experience even more memorable. If I visit Maine again this place is definitely on my list!

This place is great! The owner and his staff are very polite and fun to talk to. The food is great there also. The atmosphere is very welcoming. You can sit on the couches and at the tables and bar. It's kid friendly and there are board games for all to play while there. There are paintings on the walls that are for sale. Can't say enough about them. Try it out. I've seen people have meetings there. I've seen people working on their tablets and phones also. There are books to read also. I love going there.

The pastrami egg breakfast sandwich was amazing. I haven’t had such good pastrami in a while. I’m visiting from Nashville, but originally from California. The pastrami is really similar to that that they serve at The Hat (if you know you know). I’ve been looking for this flavor everywhere. Everyone was really nice, really peaceful environment for breakfast, and they also have hiking equipment and bikes in the back. The person at the desk was super helpful and recommended a couple of hikes in the area. Definitely a place to check out. It is important to know that they weren’t the fastest, they were a little backed up because it was so crowded. Totally worth the wait.
